flora top finished whoop whooop

I have eventually finished the top layer of my piece for the Flora exhibition.
I still have to layer it with some wadding and backing fabric and then quilt it in some way (which I haven't finally decided).

Here it is pinned to the back of my bathroom door, which I have come to the conclusion is the brightest area for taking photos unless I venture outside.
This also allows you to see the scale of it.

Some details..

  2. It's wonderful I love the way you can think outside the box.... I mean for example see between the first row you put a grey strip not even the whole length, I think it look wonderful ! I am programmed for the want of a better word to have everything tidy and the same! If you know what I mean. I would love to do something different. Congratulations it's beautiful ...Pamela

  3. Thanks Ali and Pamela. I'm going to start quilting today.
I will have to get Anne to send me a pic, otherwise I won't see it until the actual exhibition in Dublin.
